How does EmailEncrypt Work?

It’s simple really.  We install a small EmailEncrypt component on your SMTP server which routes all outgoing email through a secure channel to the EmailEncrypt server.  Any emails that are not intended to be encrypted are immediately released for delivery.  Emails that are marked confidential are automatically encrypted.

If the recipient has already registered their email address, the encrypted email is delivered immediately.  If not, the recipient receives an email requesting them to register.  After a simple registration process, the email is then delivered to them.

If the user replies to an encrypted email, their response is also automatically encrypted – thus creating a closed-loop secure communication trail for any privileged content.
